The Southeast Conference announced their All-Conference teams on Tuesday for boys and girls basketball.

Sophomore Anthony Potratz and senior Alex Wolter were both named as unanimous second team selections.

Potratz led the team in scoring at 13 points per game, which was good for fourth in the conference, and was third in the conference with 37 steals.

In the middle, Wolter led the SEC in blocks while finishing second in rebounding and seventh in scoring.

Joining these two were junior TyJai Mueller and sophomore Isaiah Seay, who were selected as Honorable Mention.

The two shooters made over 37 shots from downtown and Mueller averaged 10.9 points per game, third on the team, while Seay followed just behind at 8.0 points each contest, fourth on the team.

Seay began the year coming off the bench, but was starting for the Chiefs by the midway point of the year.

Wolter and classmate Tristan Kirk were also named Academic All-Conference.

Keokuk went 8-14 (2-6) on the year, doubling their wins from the previous season and with 10 of their losses coming by single digits. They fell to Mount Pleasant 53-49 in the first round of Districts.

The girls team was represented by co-SEC Player of the Year, senior MacKenzie Northup.

She paced the team and conference in scoring and was among the top contributors in rebounds, assists and steals.

Northup was also the team’s most consistent shooter from downtown and the free throw line.

Also on the first team is junior Michenna Davis, who led the team in steals and finished second in scoring, fourth in the SEC. Davis scored in double digits during both of the Keokuk playoff games this season.

Classmate Cassidy Koeber was named second team all-conference after averaging 5.3 points and around five rebounds per contest.

Freshman Abby Wolter was one of the team’s best defenders on the year and served as the team’s starting point guard for every game except the opener.

She along with sophomores Keleigh Hall and Miracle Ailes were named Honorable Mention.

Davis and Northup also earned Academic All-Conference along with seniors Emily Buckner, Haley Finch and Shelby Haage.

Keokuk tied Fairfield for the conference title with a  7-1 record and went 13-6 overall. Their season came to an end last week in the Regional Championship with a 61-28 loss to #2 North Scott.
