With a 55-32 win over West Hancock on Monday night, the Keokuk Chiefs collected their seventh straight victory.

They now sit at 11-4 on the season, going undefeated since Dec. 20 when they picked up the first win of the streak with a 13 point win over Fairfield.

A rematch with Fairfield is on the docket next for the Chiefs after their game against Ottumwa, originally scheduled for Tuesday night, has been postponed.

Their wins during this streak have all been by double digits, coming by 13, 35, 25, 27, 10, 40 and 23, respectively.

MacKenzie Northup led the team in scoring against the Titans, for the third straight game, with 13 and Cassidy Koeber also finished in double figures as well.

Tight defense once again allowed the Chiefs to record more than 10 steals as a team and create many fast break opportunities that resulted in easy baskets.

The win against Kirksville on Saturday was a perfect example of how the dominant defense has turned into blowout wins. Keokuk picked up 19 steals and only allowed 10 points for the entire game.

With the Trojans coming to town next, the Chiefs will have an opportunity finish the year undefeated in conference play, with none of those games being decided by a single digit score either.

With the win, Keokuk would sweep all conference games for the first time since their State Tournament season in 2016.
