The Keokuk Art Center will be displaying a collection of art work produced by Chicago artist, Martin McCormack through June 25..  Marty, who is usually known as one half of the Irish musical duo “Switchback”, has spent the last few years exploring his talents as a visual artist.

The mixed media exhibit combines a wide spectrum of techniques including acrylic painting, drawings, and an unusual technique of scratch art which requires images to be scratched into a piece of exposed film with a X-acto knife.

The McCormack exhibition is open to the public every day except Sunday at the Round Room Gallery located within the Keokuk Art Center/Keokuk Public Library at 210 North 5th Street.  A reception for the artist is planned for Saturday, June 25 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.  The reception follows a concert by “Switchback” on Friday, June 24, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Old Settler’s Park in Fort Madison, Iowa.
