Keokuk Man Arrested On Des Moines River Bridge For Animal Abuse Resulting In Death

Press release via the Keokuk Police Dept:

On 8/16/23  at 8:22 pm, Officers with the Keokuk Police Department were dispatched to the Des Moines River Bridge in reference to an individual throwing a dog over the bridge. Kris Lane Adams, age 44 of Keokuk, was arrested for Animal Abuse Resulting in Death, an Aggravated Misdemeanor. Adams was held in jail.

A charge is merely an accusation and, a defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
