Keokuk Waterworks To End COVID Bill Changes
Written by Leah Jones on June 18, 2020
Due to COVID-19, water bill shut offs, penalties and late fees were temporarily suspended. The Keokuk Waterworks understands the financial hardship this has placed on our community and looks forward to life returning to a new normal. All on time payments are appreciated. The Keokuk Municipal Waterworks will resume collecting late fees and terminating services. Accounts with high balances may request payment arrangements. Payment arrangements are a collection assistance program that eligible customers can use to repay an outstanding balance that is made over a three month time-frame. It will be important that customers honor their commitment to pay. During this time, the Keokuk Waterworks office remains closed to the public. A variety of opportunities to complete payments and customer service needs are:
- Online: Login to online account to pay by credit card, direct pay or electronic check. Using Payment Service Network at (877) 885-7968 or www.paymentservicenetwork.com and www.keowater.com.
- Phone: Please call (319) 524-5285, Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Pay by credit card or electronic check.
- Drop Box: Place bill stub and payment in the payment drop box located by the front doors.
- Mail: Mail bill stub and payment.
The Keokuk Municipal Waterworks will continue serving our customers over the phone at (319) 524-5285 for new service and any other customer service needs.
On July 6, 2020, penalties will go into effect if payment is not received by the 5th of the month.
On August 16, 2020, late fees and shut offs will go into effect.
We are grateful to serve the community of Keokuk in providing high quality drinking water.
