How do you describe Tyler French/Frenchie/T-French?

Sports fanatic, lover of cats and cheese and a legend waiting to happen.

Frenchie is the new Sports Director and Newsman at Radio Keokuk.

Tyler grew up in the Des Moines area and graduated from Norwalk High School in 2014. He then attended Wartburg College pursuing a degree in Multimedia Journalism.

While at Wartburg, Tyler served as Sports Director and broadcaster for the campus radio station, KWAR. He won several awards for his sportscasting, including three first place finishes for Sports Play-by-Play from the Iowa Broadcast News Association, and also earned the “Maggie” Award as the Outstanding Senior from the Wartburg Department of Journalism & Communication.

He also served as Editor-in-Chief and News Editor of the Trumpet Newspaper at Wartburg during his senior year, a play-by-play announcer for the Knight Vision Sports livestream program and as a reporter, producer and anchor for the Cedar Valley Today news show.

Now as a college graduate, Tyler brings his talents to southeast Iowa in hopes to start a new chapter and pursue the career he has been waiting for since he was seven years old.

Away from work, he enjoys playing and watching basketball, spending time with friends and family and binge watching TV shows and anime.
