Keokuk Walmart Grants $2500 to Union Depot Foundation

On Monday, October 28, Keokuk Walmart presented to the Keokuk Union Depot Foundation a grant of $2500 for interior brick repairs. Roan Masonry of Keokuk has been contracted to undertake the repairs. In recent months structural work has been completed by Myers & James Construction, another Keokuk firm, on the ceilings in the downriver rooms of the depot.

Plans are currently underway to make even more improvements to the building. Even though the City of Keokuk owns the depot, all the funding for the repairs and restoration of the building comes from grants and other donations.
