Tri-State Moms on a Mission is trying to raise money for the local US Coast Guard unit. All proceeds go to them and their families during this difficult time. It will be at the Keokuk Union Depot on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019 from 7-11 AM.
“We just want to do right by these Coast Guards and their families who are now living in our community,” group member Linda Marsden said.” We want them to know that we see them, appreciate them, and when times of need arise we will help.”
They are a group of moms and women wanting to do what they do best, that is, making things better for each other.
“Tri-State Moms on a Mission is made up of a group of women who help support moms through the challenges and triumphs of motherhood,” Marsden said.
They recognized that members of their community, including members of their Moms on a Mission group, were facing a challenging situation and they wanted to do something about it. So the group has planned a pancake breakfast fundraiser to help lighten their load and to let them know that their community is committed to them, just as they are committed to the community.
They are just a group of moms caring for one another and their community.
“These women are my friends and family. They are part of the reason I call Keokuk home,” Marsden said. “They are an amazing group of women and none of this could have been done without them.”
